About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 1240LU26Q0071, addressing contractor inquiries regarding the Buffalo Gap Campground water line repairs project. The document clarifies technical specifications and site conditions for the project, which involves removing and replacing curb stop valves at one location within the campground near Medora, North Dakota, with a project magnitude under $25,000.

Key clarifications provided include: the excavation around curb stops is currently backfilled and closed; existing curb stops are buried at a minimum depth of 6 feet, likely closer to 7 feet per North Dakota code; the pipe material specified in the plans is PE (Polyethylene) rather than IPS or CTS; the water supply is potable water with no cross-contamination concerns at this location and will comply with applicable codes; boring over trenching is not acceptable—the line, valves, and vents must be exposed and repaired as described in the plans; and the water has been shut off and will remain shut off during work execution. The document provides no seeding requirements and confirms that boring activities are restricted to the designated work area.
