Project Emergency - Redwood Road Engine Bay Heater Replacements

General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

Replace two unit heaters in the Engine Bay of the Redwood Road Complex.

2.0 Background

The Redwood Road Complex Engine Bay has two unit heaters in the garage space that are not functioning. For the wintertime, the crews will be using this space for their work and equipment/ vehicle storage. These unit heaters will be necessary to provide proper heating over the winter to this engine bay. The existing unit heaters are Day and Night Brand, and only one has worked for the past few years. As of this year, both unit heaters are not functional, and repairs are not possible as the heaters are outdated and no longer have manufacturers for parts.

Site visits for contractors were done on 11/13/2023. Contractors were shown the engine bay unit heaters as well as the ideal new unit that will be installed. Attached to this document is a Reznor brand unit heater that includes all the equivalent specifications needed for the replacement heaters.
