SITE VISIT WAS HELD ON AUGUST 31ST, 2023.
CHANGES:
THERE ARE NO CHANGES. OFFER DUE DATE REMAINS THE SAME.
• Will there be any blasting expected? Any history from the previous projects on the site?
o There will be no blasting required.
o Yes. Final inspection for the last crushing project was completed on 10/03/2018 for a total of 17,779 tons.
• What will happen with the trees?
o Yes. Minimal, if any, trees will need to be removed. Trees that are removed will remain within the pit area at a site designated on-the-ground by the COR.
• Will the contractor be allow to camp around the area?
o Yes. The COR will request a camping permit from the Grand Valley District Ranger and with the approval of the Ranger the permit will be issued to the successful contractor and will include camping rules and behavior.
• Will contractor be allow to plow for access if possible in the spring?
o I honestly recommend this not being an option. It may be an expensive cost to the contractor.
o If necessary, a road use permit outlining additional requirements will be required to include an appropriate bond for any associated road damage(s). Snowplow permits, at a minimum, generally require; a minimum of 4 inches compacted snow / ice and punch-outs or lead-outs to ensure the road has proper drainage or until the road is deemed acceptable by a qualified member of the GMUG Engineering group for intended use.
