RE: Post-Abatement Visual Inspection at Burke-Martin Mine
Southeast ¼ of Section 35, Township 5 South, Range 76 West GPS: North 39° 34’ 21.6” – West 105° 51’ 47.6” White River National Forest, Summit County, Colorado Sunrise Project Number: SEI21-P115
Dear Ms. Garcia, Sunrise Environmental, Inc. performed a site visit on August 9th, 2021 to delineate the Burke- Martin mill debris pile clean-up area. The clean-up area was marked with a combination of stakes, paint and ribbons for Eagle Environmental Solutions (General Abatement Contractor). The friable asbestos-containing materials (less than trigger levels) were also identified for the abatement contractor to remove from the mill debris pile.
The removal of the friable asbestos-containing materials was performed by Eagle Environmental Solutions the same day and a post-abatement visual inspection was performed several hours later.
Sunrise Environmental, Inc. performed a post-abatement visual inspection on August 9th, 2021 following the removal of the asbestos-containing building materials listed below:
1. Approximately 35 square feet of asbestos-containing cementitious paneling was removed.
2. Approximately 5 square feet of asbestos-containing white fibrous insulation was removed.
3. Approximately 1 square foot of asbestos-containing wire insulation was removed from the mill debris pile.
Following the removal of the friable asbestos-containing materials listed above, Eagle Environmental Solutions performed clean-up & removal of the non-friable asbestos-containing roofing tar from the debris pile. Wood timbers and boards were separated from the mill debris pile and stacked in a separate location at the site. A visual inspection was performed after the mill debris pile was cleaned. Photos, visual inspection form and certifications are included.
Sincerely, Scott D. Sanders President
