14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)

Tonto National Forest, Payson Ranger District, is requiring items to resupply their cache.

The purpose of this Amendment is to post clarification answers to questions from potential offerors and to extend the quote due date to Monday, September 28, by 2:00 p.m. Mountain

Time. Here are the clarification answers and some photos and measurements for the existing cattleguards we have in stock.

To clarify, the vendors should provide:

10 x 14-foot long L-shaped concrete foundations (8 in line item #3, and 2 in line item #1 for a cattle guard grate we already have in our yard but do not have foundations for)

6 x 16-foot long L-shaped concrete foundations (4 in line item #4, and 2 in line item #2 for a cattle guard grate we already have but do not have foundation for)

4 x HS-20 rated boxed 14-foot wide cattle guards with FHWA Type I alternate flat top rail

(all 4 covered in line item #3)

2 x HS-20 rated boxed 16-foot wide cattle guards with FHWA Type I alternate flat top rail (all 2 covered in line item #4)

12 x angle steel wings to connect to fence (8 in line item #3, and 4 needed in line item #4)

1 x delivery fee to Payson, AZ in line item #5.

The note about 12-inch deep concrete base I think is a typo. I think it is supposed to be 11-inch concrete deep referring to the measurement between the surface (top of the concrete foundation) and the top of the horizontal leg of the L where the steel cattle guard sits on top.

Final clarification is to add the color to be

Federal Standard 595C 13591 (safety yellow).
