About this file

This document contains a series of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to a federal transportation/freight solicitation. The solicitation involves trucking services with a Period of Performance from 01/15/2026 to 10/31/2026, and the incumbent contractor is Naber Trucking (Contract Number 1240LP25P0006). Key details include unloading requirements (manual unloading using rollers or by hand), a requirement for truck drivers to have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and expectations around on-site shipment signing. The government has clarified there is no set pricing, and all potential offerors are encouraged to submit quotes. Insurance requirements are defined as "industry standards for hauling specialized freight," and the solicitation appears to involve transporting specialized freight across multiple locations without dock or unloading equipment.

Question:

After reading the solicitation attachments I have a questions on the unloading procedures it listed the box dimensions but does not list if the use of a pallet jack or if a pallet jack may be used if you could clarify the unload process for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Question:

Who is the incumbent on this solicitation for this year and what is the contract number?

Incumbent Contractor- Naber Trucking- 1240LP25P0006

Question:

I noticed that the Performance Work Statement references a contract period beginning January 15, 2025, and running through October 2025. Given that the solicitation is currently open in December 2025 and the estimated delivery schedule and mileage attachments reference trips for 2026, could you please clarify the intended commencement date and period of performance for this contract?

Answer:

This is a clerical error. The Period of Performance is 01/15/2026 to 10/31/2026.

Question:

If available, please provide the awarded pricing for the most recent contract, or any budgetary figures that may be shared with prospective offerors.

Answer:

This information is not shared any prospective offerors.

Question:

The statement of work mentions that the contractor must be on-site to sign for the shipment. Could you clarify what this entails?

Answer: The truck driver must sign for the shipment.

Question It also requires a driver CDL. As a freight broker, would this apply to our carriers, or is there an expectation on our side? The government requires all truck drivers to have a valid CDL license. Please provide a CDL license of the primary driver in your offer.

Question:

Regarding insurance, can you specify the type and minimum coverage needed for this shipment? We ensure that all carriers we engage maintain standard insurance levels.

Answer: Industry standards for hauling specialized freight.

Question:

Should we submit a bid for this opportunity, or is there a set price already established?

Answers: Everyone is encouraged to submit a quote, there is not a set price established.
