About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for Solicitation Number 1240LP25Q0015, specifically addressing tree planting access for the Shoshone National Forest. The key detail revealed is that there is no direct road access to the project units, meaning all work will require walk-in access. The respondent has provided supplementary materials including a zoomed-out units map, a Word document detailing minimum and maximum walk-in distances by unit, and KMZ files mapping the units and access road. The document indicates the government will attempt to route workers along the easiest distance and slope to reach the planting units.

Questions and Answers: 1240LP25Q0015 Shoshone NF Tree Planting

Q: Is there road access to all units? If not, what are the walk-in distances to each unit? Also, if you could provide the KMZ shapefiles, that would be greatly appreciated.

A: There is no direct access from roads to the units. All of the units will be walk-ins. I’ve attached a zoomed-out version of the Units map to show the road adjacent to the units. We will attempt to walk the easiest distance and slope to the units as possible. I’ve also attached a word document with minimum and maximum walk-in distances by unit. Finally, I’ve included KMZ files of the units and the road we will be accessing them from.
