About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding the acquisition of mobile office trailers by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The Forest Service Shrub Science Laboratory is relocating to Cedar City, Utah and requires temporary trailer facilities to house office and lab spaces for staff. The trailers must provide HVAC capable of maintaining 65-75 degree temperatures with a minimum of 6 air changes per hour. Countertops should be water-resistant materials like Formica. Standard storage cabinets with adjustable shelving but no protruding handles are specified. Tile flooring is required throughout with both ADA accessible ramps and stairs required at doors. Utilities will be connected by the delivery contractor or Forest Service. Internal communications must include specified numbers of computer connections in offices, lab, and general areas, while external communications will be provided by the Forest Service. Two entrance/exit doors are required which can be located on the same side or front and back. A window is required in each office space but not storage or communications rooms. Revisions to the floorplan may be necessary to accommodate HVAC plenum walls. The document seeks clarification on electrical requirements, which are confirmed as a minimum of two 240-volt circuits.
