General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
Purchase trailer(s) to be used as office and lab space in Cedar City, Utah for the Shrub Science Laboratory facility.
2.0 Background
The Shrub science Laboratory is moving to Cedar City, Utah. This requires the development of facilities for the laboratory staff to work in. Since funds are not readily available to construct a permanent building at this time, temporary facilities must be purchased. The acquisition of trailers designed for the purposes of office and lab space are the ideal solution to this.
Contractor Requirements
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Space and installed equipment requirements: See the attached PDF sketch.
• 4 office enclosed office spaces with each being a minimum of 100 square feet
• 30 ft x 24 ft open area in the center of the trailers where both the front and rear doors access into. The bathroom space can be included in this area as well as a kitchen/break area.
• Lab Space shall each be a minimum of 10 x 25 with ventilation to the exterior and tables along at least two walls.
• A minimum of one bathroom with toilet and sink shall be included.
• Sufficient HVAC equipment shall be provided to allow for the workspaces to be properly cooled and heated as needed. HVAC equipment may be either wall or roof top mounted, calculations showing sufficient temperature control capabilities shall be submitted along with a Mechanical Plan prior to the manufacturing of the system and trailers. The HVAC system shall be equipped with an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator) system as shown on the attached drawings
• A minimum of one (1) Exterior window shall be provided for each room included in the layout.
• A minimum of two exit/entry doors shall be included, both on the long sides of the trailers, and one front and one back.
• The included electrical panel shall be capable of a 200-amp power supply with sufficient breaker capacity to allow for interior lights, frequent 110 wall receptacles with 20-amp breakers, and a minimum of 2- 240 amp circuits, and separate breakers for cooling and heating equipment. The Manufacturer shall submit an electrical plan layout showing the location of all receptacles, control panels, meters, and light fixtures, prior to manufacturing the electrical system and trailers.
• Heating units shall be electrical. No gas connections shall be included
• Water and sewer connections shall be in at the edge of the trailer where these connections are necessary for easy connection to existing facilities.
4.0 Government Furnished

5.0 Deliverables / Schedule
Trailers shall be delivered no sooner than January 1, 2023 and no later than June 30, 2023, the delivery location is Cedar City, Utah. The exact delivery address will be provided once the Manufacturing process is complete and the trailers are ready for delivery.
