About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for a federal contract opportunity. The amendment extends the due date for quotes to August 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM Alaska Time and includes a set of questions and answers related to the contract requirements.

The contract opportunity is for carpet replacement at the Craig Ranger District Building and stairwell flooring installation at the Thorne Bay building, both located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. The solicitation is being issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The amendment provides clarification on contractor responsibilities for moving and reinstalling owner items and furniture, the building construction type, and availability of shipping carpet to Alaska. It also indicates that an "or equal" product to the specified Mannington Eyewear Plus carpet will be acceptable as long as it meets the minimum thickness and water resistant requirements.
