About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a U.S. Forest Service safety training contract (Solicitation 1240BE25Q0017). The Q&A provides critical details about training session logistics and expectations, including that the Forest Service will provide training dates by January 31 each year, with scheduling flexibility of plus or minus 5 days. Training session parameters include an average class size of 15 students (ranging from 6-25 students), with 15-20 total sessions anticipated annually. Pricing will be per student, and the labor classification for instructors should use code 15090 (Technical Instructor). Historical data indicates 7-21 training sessions per year with an average of 15 students. The Forest Service's current plan allows for one training session per day, with vendors needing to be aware of potential 2-hour drives between training locations. Multiple training sessions on the same day would be permissible, with consideration for contractors with limited resources.
