1. QUESTION: Who is the owner of the main power in and around the fish house area, USDA or Alabama Power?

ANSWER: Alabama Power provides us with the power but all the lines around the fish houses are after the meter and should be considered ours.

2. QUESTION: At the site visit there was some discussion about the large pine tree near building #55 being removed. The demolition drawing for this building states to trim as required to install new building. It appears that the tree itself as well as its root system will interfere with the removal and replacement of the concrete slab and footings.

ANSWER: USDA will be removing the pine tree on our own this Friday. USDA will leave a short stump that is best that the contractor remove during the demo. The contractor will be responsible for removing the stump and root system. Follow the demolition drawing instructions.

3. QUESTION: There are two trees near building #59. Will trimming limbs be allowed, if necessary to safely install the building?

ANSWER: YES

4. QUESTION: Is there a concrete specification for this project?

ANSWER: Please refer to Drawing A103, page 6/14, for B59. Please refer to Drawing A100, page 3/14, for B55. Compaction specs are in Section 31.23.00, 3.7.2 Structures & Concrete Slabs (Page 8),

5. QUESTION: On 2/C100 New Site Plan, is the new 4” PVC Comm. Conduit still required? If so, to what extent since this RFP only covers Building 55 and 59?

ANSWER: New 4” PVC Comm. Conduit is required in any related areas of construction that pertains to the installation and hookup of Building 55 and 59 communications.
