About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 123A9426Q0040, a USDA Agricultural Research Service solicitation for shelving and lab stools. The document provides clarifications on key requirements and acceptable product specifications across multiple line items (CLINs).
Critical requirements clarified include: quotations must cover all items, not partial submissions; the September 8, 2026 deadline is firm; specified dimensions for CLIN 0001 (48" W x 24" D x 78" H) are non-negotiable; weight capacity requirements have been updated for mobile and stationary cold storage shelving; and mobile shelving heights up to 69" (with casters) are acceptable. For CLIN 0005 lab stools, products similar to Uline H-5681 with compatible polyurethane casters are acceptable, but the Uline H-8512 with additional features (backrest and footring) is not. All offered products must be domestic or eligible Free Trade Agreement country end products with country of origin clearly specified. While preference will be given to domestically manufactured products, non-domestic alternatives may be submitted and evaluated. The solicitation is unrestricted and open to all responsible sources under NAICS code 337127 with a 500-employee small business size standard.
