Cutting prescriptions are defined in contract section C2.355#, with selection criteria requiring removal of trees with dwarf mistletoe and those affected by bark beetles. Slash requirements are specified in C6.7#, and virtual boundary tolerance is set at 30 feet per C.230#. Operating restrictions prohibit winter operations from December 1st through April 30th and include summer holiday hauling restrictions (C6.312#). Gate usage and restrictions are governed by C5.41#. The bid due date is May 29th. Appendix A contains unit acreage tables and optional topwood specifications, while Appendix B Division A contains merchantability specifications and volume estimates noted as non-guaranteed per B2.4.

Is it load count and load what is the count factor? Yes, load count factor is 7.7CCF per load as stated in Appendix B C6.825#

Cruise error? Without a copy of the cruise at the site visit the error wasn’t known. However, the cruise met regional error requirements which some of the operators were familiar with.

Subsequent discussion about cruise accuracy from different forests and agencies. We invited prospective bidders to revisit the contract area at their convenience and mentioned they could cruise it if interested. Several operators voiced that the San Juan has typically had accurate volume estimates. – Appendix B B2.4 Volume Estimate states “…the estimated volumes stated in Division A2 are not to be construed as guarantees or
