Andrew Mishler reviewed the contract area map, answered questions about the treatment specification, timeline, etc. All the information covered was in the solicitation documents.

The group visited 4 of the landing piles along Mosquito Ridge Rd #96 and traveled down the 16-46 and 16-48 roads to look at the hand thinning units. It was discovered that the Contract Area Map and Schedule of Items will need to be amended to drop 29 acres from the optional hand cut and pile treatment line item as these areas have already been treated. (See Amendment 1).

Question: The Bamford representative asked about whether an encroachment permits would need to be secured from the County on the 96 road?

Answer: There are no encroachment permits required for this project. A road use permit will be required from the Tahoe NF to haul the biomass from the landings to the facility of the contractor’s choice.
