About this file
This is a Questions and Answers amendment to RFQ# 1232SA26Q1424 for the Repair/Replace Low Water Crossing project in El Reno, Oklahoma. The document clarifies seven key requirements for potential offerors and does not address specific pricing terms, response dates, or award dates.
The amendment confirms that cast-in-place concrete box structures (ODOT CIP 4x12 standard) are acceptable alternatives to precast structures, addressing lead time concerns. Key subcontractor or team member attendance satisfies the mandatory September 8 site visit requirement if the attendee is identified on the government's sign-in sheet and their role is explained in the quote. The period of performance is 365 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed, as specified in Section 01 00 11 of the specifications, superseding any conflicting language in the SF1442. Concrete rubble with minimal wire mesh content may be used as rip rap per specification section 31 00 00 2.2.2, subject to government and architect approval. Trees required for removal may be disposed of in an on-site burn pile at the contractor's responsibility for hauling. Additionally, existing damaged tin horns must be removed and disposed of off-site by the contractor.
