About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 5) for RFQ# 1232SA26Q0361 issued by USDA for the removal of a walk-in cooler located in room B1-SB36 at a facility in Athens, Georgia.
The document clarifies critical project specifications and scope details. The walk-in cooler has rough dimensions of 23 feet by 21 feet; manufacturer and model information are unknown. The removal scope includes associated compressor and condenser equipment, with supply lines to be capped with sufficient length for future connection. Fire sprinkler disconnects are not required; sprinklers should remain undisturbed in the space. The correct room location is B1-SB36 (not SB46 as referenced in some solicitation documents). No architectural plans, drawings, or floor plans are available for this project. The government requires complete removal of all equipment from the concrete floor to the steel decking and from the East wall to the West wall. Additionally, the West wall dividing B1-SB36 and B1-SB35 must be constructed with steel studs extending from the concrete floor to the steel decking, fully insulated, covered with 5/8-inch sheet rock on both sides, and finished with fire tape and mud. Photographs of the existing walk-in cooler space are included to provide visual reference for potential bidders.
