About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal janitorial services contract opportunity with the USDA.
The contract requires janitorial services to be performed Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays. Mopping may be scheduled across multiple days rather than on a single day each week. Contractors will remove only regular nonhazardous trash and are not responsible for removing broken glass or sharps containers from laboratories. Floors must be stripped and waxed annually, which can be scheduled during after-hours or weekend periods. The government will provide poles for cleaning high ceilings and multiple outside water sources for janitorial use. All janitorial staff must obtain a Linc Pass clearance and comply with a dress code requiring close-toed shoes, long pants, and short-sleeved shirts minimum to enter laboratory areas. Interested parties should submit bids to the Contracting Officer, Katelyn Nelson, via email at Katelyn.nelson@usda.gov.
