About this file

This Statement of Requirements details the procurement of a new harvest combine for the USDA-ARS Coastal Plains Soil, Water & Plant Research Center in Florence, SC. The requirement includes a diesel-powered harvest combine with 300-400 HP, specific header configurations (6-row 30" corn header and <17.5ft platform grain header), and multiple technical features such as yield and moisture monitoring, auto-guidance readiness, electric grain tank cover, and electronically controlled headers. The procurement includes a trade-in of an existing 1993 Case IH 2144 combine and associated headers with 1,828 operating hours.

The solicitation will be evaluated on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis, with delivery to the USDA-ARS research center. The technical requirements specify 17 minimum specifications for the combine, including grain tank capacity under 280 bushels, unloading rate under 3.0 bushels/second, ASAE standard road lighting, back-up safety alarm, and quick-attach header capabilities. No government-furnished equipment is applicable to this procurement, and the combine must meet all listed technical requirements to be considered acceptable.
