STATEMENT OF WORK
Background
• Proper ground maintenance as solicited in this request is necessary to reduce occupational hazards related to hosting unwanted wildlife. In the south, overgrown bushes and lawns can quickly invade sidewalks and handicap ramps. All of these hazards to the welfare of the staff and thus proper lawn maintenance is required.
Objectives
• Provide services to maintain grounds at a professional level
Scope
• Maintain grounds around Building 1 of the USDA ARS Stoneville complex which includes controlling weeds, well-trimmed bushes, mowing lawn and leaving a clean area after appearance.
Tasks or Requirements
• Mowing the lawn once a week or as needed
• Edging the sidewalks
• Blowing the clippings off the concrete
• Applying chemicals 4 times a year to keep a weed free lawn and beds. Said chemicals include pre and post emergent herbicides.
• Trimming bushes and adding black mulch as needed
Reporting Requirements
• Meeting with Center Director on a quarterly basis for review of performance
Place of Performance
• 141 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville MS. USDA ARS main complex around Building 1.
• Area of service is in picture highlighted in yellow and within the fence line.
Other Considerations:
• Special care to be taken when around Employee’s vehicles and personal property.
Contractor is liable for any personal damage and is fully insured to cover any cost incurred from contractor damages.
• Lawn Services shall provide all labor and materials for lawn care services for Building 1
