The requirement is to provide the required temperature limits during the heating season; to meet this obligation the Contractor can elect to replace the existing equipment, like for like which would require five (5) existing heaters or they can propose alternate heating systems (split system heat pumps, centralized furnace. Etc.)

QUESTION 2: Does the government want new controls (remote) for the cooling, temperature, and humidity of the space? This is typical of storage barns currently.

ANSWER: No, new remote controls are not requested.

QUESTION 3: Does the government want to replace the ventilation system with the heat and cooling, this most likely would be necessary for any new units (per manufacturer requirements)?

ANSWER: If the proposed new equipment mandates the replacement of the ventilation system, then please include it in the bid.

ANSWER: It is the Government’s intent to insulate the entire shop space; the new wall will have wall board installed floor to ceiling; the remaining three walls will have durable wall finished installed to a height of 8 ft to protect the added insulation.

QUESTION 5: One wall (back) is pushed off the foundation in the equipment storage space does the government want this repaired.

ANSWER: Stamped drawings will require a license valid in Maine.
