Question 1: What is the depth you would like this direct buried fiber installed?

Answer 1: At least 12” below the surface.

Question 2: If existing conduit is available and passable, can we use it for parts of this installation?

Answer 2: Yes, existing conduit can be used.

Question 3: Do you also require ISP rated ID to be installed inside the buildings-or just run the fiber bare to termination point(s)?

Answer 3: No.

Question 4: Section C.1, Description of Work, pg. 6, B307 fiber upgrade, it states direct burial fiber optic cabling. Is the accepted methodology to have trench the entire run distance and install conduit or just trench and bury the cable?

Answer 4: Trench and bury.

Question 5: Will markers and handholes be required?

Answer 5: No.

Question 6: Is it the contractor’s responsibility to return the ground as find to include backfill, Grass seed or sod?

Answer 6: No.

Question 7: Is the preferred methodology for crossing the 12 feet of concrete or asphalt to saw cut and patch or bore under the roadway utilizing conduit?
