Enzymatic Methyl-Seq Q&A

1. NEBNext Enzymatic Methyl-seq Kit: The NEBNext Enzymatic Methyl-seq kit alone should suffice for our needs, so we do not require the additional module. However, you may need DNA isolation or other QC kits.

2. Sample Batch: We plan to send 106 samples in 2-3 batches. Additional batches may be needed to account for any failed samples.

3. Starting Material: The starting material will be liver, muscle, and mammary gland/skin, and it will be sent in small Whirl-Pak bags or 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes.

4. Amount for Extraction: We will provide a few grams of material per sample for extraction, and we are not limited by the amount of tissue available.

5. Sample Quality and Type: The samples will be freshly collected from local abattoirs within 1 hour of slaughter and snap-frozen on dry ice.
