Atachment 3 - Quesons and Answers

How were the intesnal contents collected? I am guessing endoscopy or lavage. Are they stored in a buffer or will it be flash frozen?

Intestinal content samples were collected in cryotubes after sacrifice. Samples were flash frozen with liquid nitrogen before storing them at -80C.

Are the informac protocols outlined in the SOW set in stone, or can we alter those if we determine a beter fit?

We prefer to keep as described in SOW. We want to keep consistency in data being generated.

Same queson except for the instrumentaon, we don't have any GC-FIDs but we do have GC-MSs

We want to keep the GC_FIDs as proposed.

Are they human samples?

No these are samples derived from mice.

What species are these samples?

Mice fecal samples

What amount of starting material can you provide?

50-100 mg

What's the biosafety level of your samples? Does the sample include any natural reservoir species, potential pathogens, transgenic organisms, genetically modified organisms, toxins, or prions?

No known pathogens

Have your samples been exposed to any viral vectors, viruses, or pathogens during handling or processing? Please list any that apply, regardless of biosafety level.

No exposure to viruses or other pathogens

When would you like to send samples?

See Statement of Work 5.0 Schedule/Deliverables, all work is to be completed within 4 months after the contract is established.

Who is the lab PI?

At Tufts University HNRCA: Dr. Stefania Lamon-Fava, PhD; at Beltsville USDA: Dr.

Gloria Solano-Aguilar

We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services:
