About this file
This document contains questions and responses related to solicitation number 12305B23Q0193 from the Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery Northeast Area. The solicitation is for DNA methylation array testing services involving processing 96 DNA samples using the Illumina Methylation EPIC V2 Array with over 935k probes. The selected contractor will make the results available electronically through a secure customer portal requiring two-factor authentication, or via FTP file transfer if requested. The samples are ready for the project and are to be processed by September 30, 2023, though the overall 9 month timeline allotted also accounts for errors, changes, and invoice processing. The laboratory does not need CLIA certification as this is considered a research project rather than clinical work.

Request for Informaon (RFI) Quesons and Responses: Solicitaon 12305B23Q0193
Contractors should Read all documents uploaded to the Sam.gov website.
1. In the SOW it is correctly menoned that we will use the Illumina Methylaon EPIC V2 Array, the number of probes in the array is > 850k: the v2 has 935k probes.
Yes, Correct. EPIC V2 has 935k probes.
2. As a standard we will make the results available via electronic transfer through a secure customer portal with 2-factor authencaon, on request file transfer via FTP is possible. In the SOW both opons are described, and I assume that our standard electronic transfer is sufficient. Could you please confirm this.
Yes, this is sufficient. (But this may require special clearance from USDA IT.)
3. In the SOW the sentence “The other DNA samples of the same parcipants at the baseline were analyzed and processed…” is present – Do I understand correctly that this project is related to another project? Has this project been completed with GenomeScan? If so, could you provide the project number (and/or contact person or other details)?
The other project is done in another company. We cannot provide the project informaon here.
4. Do we also need to submit more informaon via the SAM plaorm or is it enough to send you this informaon by email? What is the closing date to provide more informaon if this is needed?
See Sam solicitaon closing date. Send all updated quotes to the Contract Specialist directly.
5. Are the samples ready to be used for the project?
Yes.
6. Is this 2 mes the 96 samples or 96 samples total?
This project covers 96 DNA samples in total.
7. Is the project ming 9 months or 60 days to perform the EPIC project?
We hope these samples can be processed by Sept 30, 2023. However, the 9 months are for any errors, changes and invoice processing.
8. Does the laboratory have to be CLIA for this project?
This is a research lab and we don’t have to be CLIA for this project.
