h. Fund Code: Disregard.

i. Acres Accomplished: Total amount of acres treated for this particular treatment area.

This number is the sum of all the numbers indicated under “Acres Treated” for all the treatments done in the “Daily Logs” so long as there isn’t a gap of longer than 14 days between treatments.

j. Comments: Any additional information about the treatment you think would be necessary to relate to the Forest Service.

2. Infestation/Target Species

a. Infestation_ID: The unique identifier for a particular infestation to be treated. Assigned by the Forest Service, this number indicates location, in the RRFFDDXXXX (region, forest, district, unique 4 digit number) format. (060501XXXX for the Mt. Baker Ranger District, 060502XXXX for the Darrington Ranger District, 060506XXXX for the Skykomish Ranger District, and 060505XXXX for the Snoqualmie Ranger District). One species per Infestation ID.

b. Weed Code: Usually a 4 letter code using the first two letters of the first two scientific names of a species. For example, herb Robert has the scientific name Geranium robertianum. The weed code is GERO. If unknown, leave blank.

c. Species Name: Common name of the weed species, i.e., Scotch broom, Himalayan blackberry, spotted knapweed.

d. Infested Acres Treated: The total area in acres that were treated for this particular infestation, regardless of how many applications or days it took to treat.

e. Phenology: The life stage the plant was in at the time of treatment, i.e., pre-flowering (vegetative, rosettes, bolting), flowering, fruiting, and senescent/dormant.

3. Daily Log

If additional days are needed record the treatment data in the same format as on the form for each subsequent day. Treatments must be done without a gap of longer than 14 days. After 14 days a new Herbicide Application (2510) Data Form will need to be filled out.

e. Time Start and End: Log the time treatments began and finished.

f. Acres Treated: Total area in acres that were treated on this particular day.

g. Volume Applied: Total volume of mix applied that day, i.e. what comes out of the nozzle. Includes product, dilutant, and anything else.

h. UOM: Unit of Measure. Gallons preferred.

i. Temp (F): Average temperature for the duration of the treatment. If treatments occur over more than a couple of hours, take the temperature at the beginning of the treatment and again at the end. Average the two numbers.

j. Wind Speed (MPH): Average wind speed for the duration of the treatment. If treatments occur over more than a couple of hours, take a wind speed measurement at the beginning of the treatment and again at the end. Average the two numbers.

n. Calibrated Volume: Defined as: “The volume (in gallons per acre) in which the applicator and equipment have been calibrated”. Example: broadcast treatment with backpack sprayers calibrated for 100 gallons per acre. Note: the “Calibrated Volume” value must be within the parameters established by the pesticide label.

o. UOM: Unit of measure. Gallons per minute preferred.

p. Dilutant: Substance used to mix in pesticide product. Will nearly always be water.

q. Herb Product Name: Brand name of pesticide used, i.e., Roundup Custom, Stinger, Milestone.

This is typically a volume/volume ratio. Example: 1gal of product in 100 gallons of dilutant (everything else in the tank), is a 1% solution. Entering “% Solution” is preferred over “Product Rate”

t. Product Rate: The rate in which the “Herb Product Name” is sprayed out onto a defined area of land, i.e., 7 ounces per acres. This box is not needed if “% Solution” is indicated.
