Text version
1. Is there an engineer’s estimate? Yes but I am not able to disclose the Govt. estimate.
2. On page 10 – the SDVOSB is not checked – should it be? Yes, it has been amended to reflect.
3. It appears that the traffic control is incidental to our RFQ? Page 7 under Barricades, Warning Signs, and Other Devices, the contractor is responsible as stated in the RFQ.
4. On Pg 13 Monetary Wage says $22.83 and $23.66 – is this the wage rate for the blade operator? No, this is the equivalent wage grade rate a Govt. employee would be paid for similar work.
5. What about the wage rate for the truck driver that is delivery aggregates to the site and also if a roller is needed what is that wage rate? The following are wages from the RFQ solicitation DOL wage determination. We as the Forest Service won’t verify employee wages on a maintenance project of this nature, but that does not mean the DOL won’t. I can’t guarantee they will or won’t.
23440 - Heavy Equipment Operator $19.58 (for the roller or grader), 31363 – Truck driver, Heavy $20.48
6. The last three pages that showed wage rates was very lite and hard to read. Yes, sorry but contractors can also access in large print from the Department of Labor website.
7. Will a Performance Payment Bond be required to whomever the government awards the work to?
No, because this is maintenance and not truly construction (the construction NAICS is the closest descriptor of this type of work).
8. Will quotes be accepted via email? Yes.
File details come from the government source that posted it.
