Amendment 1

Invasive Species/TEPS Vegetation Management IDIQ Salmon-Challis National Forest

1202NV19R0002 Invasive Species/TEPS Vegetation Management IDIQ Amendment 1 Salmon-Challis National Forest

The following question/answers asked during the conference are as follows:

Q: Projects that include small polygon [small acreage task order in a particularly remote or difficult to access location on the forest] would they have a different bid? Or if we bid over our maximum pricing would our pricing not be considered for a task order?

A:. Maximum pricing cannot be exceeded at any time. In Section B.2 we included categories for these type of situations. Each category is defined as follows:

Category I: Weed control is straight forward, road access, standard transport of materials and supplies, road occurs close to roads. As stated in Section B.2 - Road/River based within 100 feet.

Category II: Some distance from a road, hiking required, packing in materials and supplies on foot, cross country ATV travel. As stated in Section B.2 - Road/River based less than ¼ of a mile.

Category III: Remote, requiring transport by aircraft, raft, jetboat, pack stock. Mobilization and logistics are complex and expensive. As stated in Section B.2 –Road/River based less ¼ mile from road/river or boat or stock access only.

Q: Is herbicide application conducted with just a single, standardized tank mix or are weed infestations targeted with more specific herbicides depending on species, location, etc.?

A: Tank mix with two herbicides can be justified unless treating one species only. Unable to approve already mixed end use products. Refer to the exhibit containing the biological opinion for herbicides approved for use on the SCNF.

Q: Who is awarded the current Invasive Species/TEPS A: Chemilogical, Idaho Adventures, and MW Bruhn were all initially awarded.

The following section will be added to Section B of the solicitation as follows:

B.7. SELECTION OF LINE ITEMS

Offerors do not have to bid on all line items listed in Section B. 2 Schedule of Items. However, if pricing is not established at time of award for specific line items, offerors will not be able to compete on task orders that may include these type of line items.
