Description
Quotes are being solicited by the Forest Service to stabilize the facing of an existing slope and to improve vegetative cover by designing, furnishing, and installing an anchored slope erosion control system over the existing geotextile reinforced embankment and revegetation work along U.S. Highway 93 near Lost Trail Pass, Salmon-Challis National Forest.
The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary. The goal of the project is to stabilize the face of the slope and to improve vegetative cover on the existing engineered face of the slope by providing topsoil, seed, and a permanent erosion control system. Under this contract an estimated 3,670 square yards will be treated.
The solicitation and resultant contract requires the Contractor to place a layer of topsoil followed by placement of the anchored slope erosion control system. The Contractor will incorporate additional topsoil within, and on top of, the anchored slope erosion control system. The Contractor will then hydroseed the topsoil to establish vegetative cover.
This requirement is being solicited as a firm-fixed price, performance-based, service contract.
The Forest Service anticipates making a single award from this solicitation. Performance period is estimated to being in August of 2019 and shall be completed by May 31, 2020. Proposals are due at 1:00 p.m. MST, June 14, 2019.
The solicitation will be available on approximately May 9, 2019, and may be downloaded from this site at that time. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available.
