The purpose of this amendment is to document the site visit, answer questions, and provide due date for questions.

See page 2 of this amendment for the site visit attendance roster. See page 3 for question/answers.

All other questions shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer no later than June 5th, 2019 at 1p.m. MST to amelia.velasco@usda.gov . All other terms and conditions will remain the same.

Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect.

The following question/answers asked during the conference are as follows:

Q: Can we start before August 12, 2019?

A:. For better results fall is best to start, but a work schedule shall be submitted to the COR for approval prior to work starting.

Q: What are the limitations with hydroseeding?

A: Hydroseeding should not be done in freezing temperatures or while raining. Please see specifications for what is needed for hydroseeding.

Dates for when hydroseeding can occur can be discussed.

Q: What about the seed mix?

A: The forest will be providing the seed.

Q: Where does the project area start and stop?

A:. The project will be flagged prior to work starting.

Q: What needs to be done with the rebar pin sticking out of the slope?

A: Rebar staples need to left in place and pounded back into the ground. Straight rebar pins mark the location of monitoring equipment and need to be left in place as-is.

Q: What abou the exposed netting at the bottom of the slope?

A: Contractor will need to dispose of any exposed netting that has sluffed off of the hillside and is now laying at the bottom of the slope only.

Q: Can we work at night?

A:. The contractor is required to apply for an Idaho Transportation Department (IDT) highway permit. This permit will determine if night shifts are authorized.

Q: What do we need to do after we mow, what will happened to the PH levels?

A: Existing vegetation should be mowed or cut back in order to get good placement of the topsol and erosion controll system. Cut vegetation should be left in place on the slope. The existing vegitation should not be grubbed or pulled from the slope.

Q: Is GREENAX and DELTAX ® products made in the USA?

A: It is our understanding that Geobrugg, the manufactujrere of these products, produces many of its products within the USA. Specific informaion on where products are made should be determined by Contractor through contacting the vendor.

Q: What type of anchor is needed at the top of the slope?

A:. An anchor could be placed at the top of the slope; however, that depends on the design selected by the contractor.

Q: Can we use this pull out for staging?

A: The contractor is responsible for acquiring the use of the pull out from ITD according to C.9 of the solicitationt.

Q: Where is the closest lodging, food, etc.?

A: Darby is a about 35 minutes from the site. Salmon is about an 1 ½ hour from the site.
