Questions and Answers for Fish Rearing Tanks

QWhat is the minimum thickness required?
A0.5 cm, needs to be sturdy enough to withstand being filled with water and exposed to temperatures ranging from -30 to 115 degrees F.
QAre there any drawings or pictures of the tanks in order to better establish a correct image?
AAttached (on page 2) is a picture of skirted tanks similar to what we are imagining. The drain for the tank is 15 inches above the ground and then elbows and passes through a hole in the side of the skirt.
QThe clear lid on top of the tank. Does it need to be plexiglass or another clear plastic? Also, is the lid to be a bolt-on connection to the tank, OR hinged?
AThe lid does not have to be clear but does need to be transparent so that light readily passes through. It does not need to be bolted on to the tank but should be hinged, allowing ready access to half the tank without removing the lid.
QDoes the tank and skirt need to be attached together or separate?
AIt should be formed together, see attached photo on page 2.
QDoes the 2” drain nozzle need to extend past the skirt in order to drain, OR does a hole need to be made in the skirt to reach the nozzle for draining?
AThe drain nozzle does not need to extend past the skirt, but the elbowed section needs to be threaded or allow for removable connection of a drain pipe that will pass through the skirt.
QIs there a threaded connection or flanged connection in order for a pump to be install into the tank, OR does the lid require a hole in order to install a connection for the pump?
AAlthough water will be fed into the tank from above lines (gravity, no pumps), a hole is not required in the lid.
QThe dimensions call for 34” vertical height. Is the measurement coming from the bottom of the tank to the top of the tank? Or, is the measurement of 34” the straight vertical height?
AThe 34” is the straight vertical height from the ground to the top of the tank, see page 2 photo.
QConfirm that these will rest on the skirt, integrated into the tank assembly, and will have no stand?
ANo stands just the skirt built into the tank design.
QConfirm the tanks are NOT insulated, correct?
ANo the tanks are not insulated as this will all be flow-through.
QClarify the address where the tanks are to be shipped? (NOTE: this is NOT the address in the FBO Posting. See Modification 002.)
ASince it is going to be quite a large and heavy load, we would like to have it delivered directly to the site and that address is:

Clear Springs Foods, Inc Snake River Farm 1585-A Clear Lakes Grade Buhl, ID 83316
