About this file
This document is a technical specification section (Section 12 64 13) for prefabricated interior free-standing single-occupant booths for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). The specification provides detailed requirements for booth design, construction, and installation, including specific requirements for manufacturers like PoPS, Cubicall, and SpaceWorx. The booths are intended to be single-occupant, interior spaces with specific technical parameters including steel wall and ceiling panels, accessibility standards, lighting, telecommunications capabilities, and a videoconference device mounting system.
The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements for the booths, including detailed standards for materials, construction, and performance. Key components include a minimum 10-year manufacturer's warranty, specific acoustic and fire-rating requirements, stainless steel hardware, LED lighting, network switch enclosure, Ethernet connectivity, and a mounting system for a Cisco DX80 videoconference device. The document specifies precise dimensional requirements, material gauges, finish types, and installation procedures, with an emphasis on durability, security, and accessibility in a correctional environment. Manufacturers must comply with multiple industry standards including ASTM, ANSI, and ADA requirements, and provide detailed shop drawings and product data for review.
