About this file

This document is an Addendum for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for Recycling Services in San Diego County. The changes in this Addendum include updates to the Proposed Form of Agreement regarding the combination of the Fastmarkets/American Metals Market (AMM) websites, a revision to the final date and time for bid submission, and a revised Bid Proposal form. The scope of work requires the contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, containers, including travel and per diem, to collect, remove, and sell all scrap metal and scrap aluminum for Caltrans in San Diego County.

The bid proposal form requires the contractor to enter a competitive percentage for the ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and the winner will be based on the lowest percentage. The actual market price will be set by Fastmarkets/AMM on the first day of each month, and the contractor will be required to pay Caltrans the invoiced amount based on the contractor's bid percentage. Bids charging a fee on this bid proposal will be deemed non-responsive.
