About this file

This document is a Solicitation Addendum Form issued by the City of Riviera Beach, Florida Procurement Department for the National Village Retention Area project. The addendum, dated 05/05/2025, serves to clarify a question regarding local vendor requirements for the bid submission process. Specifically, the document addresses a bidder's inquiry about local vendor affidavit requirements and confirms that the Local Vendor Preference and Statement of Intent documents are only mandatory for vendors claiming local preference.

The addendum emphasizes that vendors not seeking local preference are not required to submit these forms, despite them appearing as optional attachments on BidNet. The procurement contact for this opportunity is Alex Massari, who can be reached at amassari@rivierabeach.org. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing the provided signature line and including a copy with their submitted bid, with a warning that failure to do so may result in disqualification. The document reinforces that requiring unnecessary documentation would create administrative burden and potentially lead to confusion during the submission process.

SOLICITATION ADDENDUM FORM

Solicitation Title and Number: National Village Retention Area Addendum No: 1 Date: 05/05/2025 Procurement Contact: Alex Massari Email address: amassari@rivierabeach.org

NOTE: BIDDER TO ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF ADDENDUM BY SIGNING ON THE SIGNATURE LINE BELOW AND INCLUDING A COPY WITH SUBMITTED BID. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL SUBJECT THE BIDDER TO

DISQUALIFICATION.

The purpose of the addendum is to provide a response to the question received below.

Q: You have included a local vendor affidavit with the submission package. However, your bidders list on Bid Net states that Local Vendor requirement is not Mandatory. Could you please confirm before the Presubmittal Meeting?

A: The Local Vendor Preference and Statement of Intent documents are only required from vendors who are claiming local preference. Vendors not seeking local preference are not required to submit these forms. Please note that while the forms may appear in BidNet as optional attachments, they are not mandatory unless applicable. Requiring these documents from all bidders, regardless of applicability, would create unnecessary administrative burden and may lead to confusion during the submission process.

A signed acknowledgment of this addendum should be attached to your submitted bid.
