Sources Sought for Market Research – Carson National Forest Copy Machine Servicing
This is a Sources Sought announcement issued by the USDA Forest Service (Carson National Forest) through Procurement and Property Services, CSA 5, with a project reference of 1158253. The announcement seeks to identify qualified vendors interested in competing for a Firm Fixed-Price contract for copy machine servicing under NAICS Code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance). The anticipated contract will cover a base year plus two option years for bi-annual servicing of eight copy machines distributed across Carson National Forest locations in northern New Mexico: two machines at the Taos Supervisor Office and six machines at ranger district offices (Canjilon, El Rito, Jicarilla, Tres Piedras, Questa, and Camino Real Mailroom). The equipment comprises primarily HP Color LaserJet Flow MFP M880 models and one Konica Minolta C364E.
Servicing requirements include deep cleaning of internal components, component inspection (rollers, belts, fusers), calibration and alignment, firmware updates, diagnostics and testing, and part replacement. The announcement explicitly states that this is not a solicitation for quotes and no contract will be awarded based on responses; rather, it is market research to determine the type of formal solicitation to issue. Interested small businesses must respond by March 13, 2026, at 1700 MT with their name, address, point of contact, phone number, email, capability to meet requirements, business size classification, and interest in bidding when the formal solicitation is released. All interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website to be eligible for award. Responses should be submitted to Ellena Silva at ellena.silva@usda.gov.
