About this file

This document is a Pre-Bid Conference Checklist from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for a facility design, construction, renovations, and inspection services project. The project involves building improvements at the Jefferson County Roadside Rest Site #25 on I-80 Eastbound. The scope includes replacing approximately 30 lineal feet of damaged cove base in each restroom and 10 square feet of floor tile between the restrooms. The project also calls for installing two privacy urinal screens, three vertical grab bars, and replacing the existing door locks and panic hardware on the lobby doors. The project has a bid due date of December 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM. The document indicates that all meeting minutes will be developed and distributed, with an anticipated distribution date of December 4, 2012.

The document provides responses to several questions raised at the pre-bid conference, including clarification that no wall tile is being replaced, the plan for installing the privacy urinal screens, the location and quantity of the grab bars, and the work required on the lobby doors. It also specifies that ten receptacles will be converted to GFCI receptacles, with no new receptacles being added. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits from the Department of Labor and Industry to complete the project.
