About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for law enforcement vehicle upfitting services. The RFI details specific standard features for marked CBP vehicles, including comprehensive equipment and modification requirements such as wire packages, hardware installations, security partitions, window security screens, specialized lighting systems, weapon storage solutions, and telematics integration.
Key vehicle upfit specifications include aluminum door skins, detainee seats with safety belts, multi-color LED lightbars, intersection lights, siren systems, electrical door switches, gun rack assemblies, window tinting, mobile device mounts, and communication system integration. The RFI emphasizes CBP's intent to partner with industry to develop a procurement approach for vehicle operationalization, seeking input on market capabilities, strengths, and potential challenges in providing these specialized law enforcement vehicle modifications across all CBP component organizations.
