About this file

This is a Special Instructions to Vendors document issued by Broward County, Florida for the Port Everglades Department soliciting quotes or bids for Bearward Radiators for Paceco Crane (P2) at the Midport facility. The solicitation requests the furnishing and delivery of materials, equipment, and incidentals for a Bearward Radiator, with vendors required to submit manufacturer names and models in their bid tables. The contract is structured as a definite quantity contract, and vendors are encouraged to submit all relevant documentation including photographs, drawings, current manufacturer's catalogs, or product literature with their responses. If such documentation is not included at the time of submittal, it must be provided within three calendar days of request by the Broward County Purchasing Division, with failure to do so potentially resulting in the bid being declared nonresponsive. All solicitation responses must be submitted electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time, and vendors are advised to submit in advance to ensure timely receipt.

Award of the contract will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on a total bid price basis, though the County reserves the right to award on a group or item-by-item basis as deemed in its best interest. There are no set-asides, small business enterprise requirements, prevailing wage rates, licensing requirements, certification requirements, permits and fees, or recycled content preferences applicable to this solicitation. Funding requirements are not applicable, and price adjustment or escalation clauses are not included. The County may order additional quantities of up to twenty percent of the originally specified quantities at any time prior to one year after the award date at the same prices, terms, and conditions, provided mutual agreement exists. Vendors are responsible for provision, installation if applicable, performance of all equipment and materials offered, and ensuring timely delivery, regardless of whether the equipment is of their own manufacture.
