About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document for the Bearward Radiator procurement by the Port Everglades Crane Section under Broward County, Florida. The procurement involves furnishing and delivering materials, equipment, and incidentals for a Bearward Radiator for a Paceco Crane (P2) at Port Everglades. The document specifies comprehensive insurance coverage requirements that vendors must maintain throughout the contract performance period. Broward County is identified as the Certificate Holder at 1850 Eller Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316, with the Risk Management Division overseeing compliance. No proof of insurance is required if delivery will be completed by common carrier; however, this waiver does not eliminate the insurance requirement itself and any deviations require Risk Management approval. Vendors must submit all solicitation responses electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time, with the County providing a designated period for vendors to submit questions and seek clarification regarding solicitation requirements.

The insurance requirements mandate General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Auto Liability with $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits, Workers' Compensation at statutory limits with $100,000 employer's liability per accident, and U.S. Longshoremen & Harbor Workers' Act coverage for any activities on navigable water. Additional requirements include Excess Liability/Umbrella coverage to supplement minimum liability requirements and Pollution/Environmental Liability with a two-year extended reporting period if claims-made form is used. Broward County must be listed as Certificate Holder and additional insured for all liability coverage except professional liability, with 30 days' written notice required for cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellation. Vendor insurance shall provide primary coverage with no contribution required from the County, and vendors are responsible for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
