About this file
This file is an informational document issued by Indian River County, Florida, outlining the implementation of electronic surety bonds (eBonds) through Surety2000 for all contractors bidding on County projects. The document describes a shift from traditional paper-based bid bond submission to a fully digital platform, eliminating the need for notarizations, physical shipping, and in-person delivery. The eBond process applies to all bids submitted through Euna Bonfire and requires contractors to complete a four-step registration and submission process: verifying bonding agent registration with Surety2000, registering as a bidder on the platform, submitting the electronic bid bond, and entering the unique 11-digit bond verification code in the bid submission. Indian River County emphasizes that this modernized approach accelerates bid award timelines through instant bond verification while reducing administrative burden for both contractors and County staff.
The annual registration fee for bidders utilizing the Surety2000 platform is $480. Bidders must ensure their bonding agents are registered with Surety2000 before they can establish and submit electronic bid bonds. The platform incorporates fraud prevention measures including digital audit trails, QR code validation, and unique bond numbers for each document. Contractors can submit bonds at any time from any location without risk of lost or delayed paperwork. Support is available through Surety2000 directly at 1-800-660-3263 or help@surety2000.com, as well as through bonding agents. The specific contract opportunity referenced is for Sandridge Golf Club Bulkhead Replacement in Florida, requiring replacement of bulkheads according to Kastner Engineering, LLC Bulkhead Plan specifications.

Bidders should complete the below steps:
1. Confirm Bonding Agent Registration Verify that your bonding agent is registered with the Surety2000 e-Bond platform. If they are not yet registered, direct them to register at this site - Register Here
2. Bidder Registration If your bonding agent has an active account with Surety2000 and you (the Bidder) have not already registered, you must also register. The annual fee to utilize the Surety2000 platform is currently $480.
CLICK HERE to register with Surety2000.
3. Submit Your e-Bond Once both the bonding agent and Bidder have active Surety2000 accounts, the Bidder may use the platform to establish and submit the electronic bid bond with their bid.
4. Use Bond Code in Bid Submission Your bonding agent will provide an 11-digit, unique Surety2000 bond verification code. Enter this code in the “Surety2000 eBond Number” area in Euna Bonfire when preparing your bid.
This code allows the County, your bonding agent, and Surety2000 to confirm a valid bid bond has been issued for your project.
