About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for a California state and local infrastructure project involving cold plane pavement removal, RHMA-G (Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt - Gap-graded) overlay, SAMI (Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer) installation, drainage improvements, ADA-compliant curb ramp construction, and electrical work. The project is designated as a BIM4I (Building Information Modeling for Infrastructure) pilot project. The contractor must complete all work excluding permanent erosion control establishment within 180 working days, with the complete project including permanent erosion control establishment required within 430 working days. Permanent erosion control establishment work specifically must be completed within 250 working days from project initiation.
The document establishes detailed technical specifications and quality standards for pavement rehabilitation, including material requirements, application procedures, and inspection protocols. The project emphasizes compliance with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards and incorporates sustainable practices through the use of rubberized asphalt and erosion control measures. The BIM4I pilot designation indicates this project serves as a demonstration for implementing Building Information Modeling technologies in infrastructure contracting, potentially requiring enhanced documentation, modeling, and coordination requirements beyond standard construction specifications. Specific pricing, bid submission deadlines, and award information are not detailed in this scope of work document.
