Questions are presented in the exact manner they were received.
TrueCore Behavioral Solutions, LLC – Received 03/25/2024
Question #1
Is there a specific reason why the Department would require two (2) CTE Instructors for a twenty-four bed program rather than just one (1) CTE Instructor?
Answer #1
Initially, we wanted to ensure that there would be enough coverage for CTE services, and the position would help the Transition Services Manager (TSM) with transition services. After a second review and discussion, we agree to decrease the CTE Instructor position from two to one, and change the title to CTE Coordinator, as there will not be any instructing by this position.
Question #2
Can Project Anchor be utilized as a collaborative partner?
Answer #2
Please see the revised Career and Technical Education (CTE) Services language in this Addendum, as this term was removed from the language.
Question #3
Upon review of the proposal, we are unable to locate any information related to academic services. Can the Department please provide guidance as to what will be required by a Respondent for academic services?
Answer #3
Please see the revised Academic Services language in this Addendum.
Question #4
For academic services, what are the minimum Internet and Bandwidth requirements?
Answer #4
The Respondent will be required to ensure internet capabilities stated below are met and comply with the Florida Scholar’s Academy standards:
a. Programs with up to 15 devices for education services only will need a minimum of 8 Megabits per second (Mbps) of bandwidth;
b. All other programs with more than 15 devices for education services will need 20 Mbps of bandwidth; and
c. Any other internet needs will require additional bandwidth.
Question #5
Who will be responsible to monitor the education firewall and youth access to the Internet upon transition of education services from the district to the Florida Scholar’s Academy?
Answer #5
The cybersecurity team is monitoring the firewall. Youth access to the internet is also being filtered through the firewall. The team is blocking everything except Focus, Virtual School Administrator (VSA), and Educator. The only exceptions to these blocks are Windows Updates, Chrome Updates, etc.
