The Project Engineer shall receive 3 copies of all approved permits and application fees for verification purposes prior to the start of any construction. The Government has provided the Contractor with the necessary information as it is related to the project on the permit applications as identified in the Exhibits section of the contract documents in order to expedite the application process.

The contractor is responsible for contacting the local utility authority to complete the application and pay the required application fees.

The Contractor within five days after the work commences shall furnish 3 copies of a work schedule, for approval, as required by contract clause. The schedule shall be in the form of a progress chart indicating the starting and completion dates of the salient features of the work, including acquiring materials and equipment. The schedule shall indicate the work by percentage for any given date.

During the course of construction, the Contractor will responsible for maintaining the integrity of all permanent survey monuments (brass cap, iron pin, hub, etc.) established by the Government through avoidance. The contractor will be responsible for making the determination as to whether or not avoidance is possible when the circumstance arises. If the Contractor deems that it is necessary to destroy the integrity of the monument, then the Contractor will be held accountable for re-establishing the survey monument’s permanency by having a legal land survey conducted by a registered land surveyor. The contractor will provide the Government 3 copies of supporting documentation with the surveyor’s certification that the monuments have been re-established.

In all cases, the Contractor shall enter the exact brand and model on the "Submittal Review Form" for that particular item. All material submittals are required within 14 days after receipt of Notice to Award. The Contractor should allow 7 days from receipt by Project Engineer for review and approval or rejection by the Government. For each material resubmittal required, the Contractor should allow an additional 7 days from date of receipt by the Project Engineer for review and approval or rejection by the Government.
