About this file
This document is a comprehensive set of construction specifications for a renovation project at the White City VA Medical Center in Oregon. The project involves renovating Building B211A for specialty care, covering approximately 2,100 gross square feet and encompassing architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and structural upgrades. The specifications detail technical requirements for various construction elements, including hollow metal frames, wood doors, resilient flooring, painting, gypsum board installation, and acoustic ceiling systems.
The renovation project will be solicited as a construction contract through the Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO20), with the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration as the sponsoring agency. The solicitation is currently in the pre-solicitation stage and is being used for market research to determine the appropriate small business set-aside category. The specifications provide extensive technical guidance for contractors, including detailed requirements for materials, installation methods, surface preparations, quality assurance, and finish standards across multiple building system components. The project aims to modernize and improve the specialty care facility's infrastructure and functional capabilities.
