About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document for Broward County, Florida, establishing mandatory coverage for contractors providing enterprise-grade storage hardware and services through the Enterprise Technology Services Division. The document specifies comprehensive insurance prerequisites that contractors must maintain throughout contract performance and for a three-year period following completion for claims-made policies.

The insurance requirements include General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence and $500,000 aggregate for bodily injury and property damage; Auto Liability with $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits, waivable if no driving occurs; Workers Compensation at statutory limits with Employers Liability of $100,000 per accident; Pollution/Environmental Liability with a maximum deductible of $10,000; and Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) with a maximum deductible of $100,000 for engineering, surveying, and design professionals. Broward County must be named as an additional insured on all liability policies, which shall provide primary coverage without requiring contribution from the County or its self-insurance, and contractors must execute a waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County. No proof of insurance is required if delivery occurs via common carrier. Claims-made policies require evidence of continuous coverage for three years post-completion.
