About this file

This is a specifications and instructions document for prepared salads to be supplied to Danville State Hospital in Pennsylvania for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 (October through December 2026). The document establishes detailed product specifications and delivery requirements for fresh salad preparations. The contract calls for prepared salads meeting specific quality, freshness, and food safety standards, with items to be delivered according to the hospital's operational needs during the three-month period. The specifications include requirements for ingredient quality, preparation methods, packaging, and storage conditions to ensure compliance with institutional food service standards and regulatory requirements.

The document outlines pricing structures based on per-unit or per-pound pricing for various salad offerings, with bidders required to provide cost proposals for each salad type or category specified. Specifications address food safety certifications, supplier qualifications, delivery schedules, and quality assurance measures. The instructions detail how bids should be formatted and submitted, inspection procedures upon delivery, and rejection criteria for non-compliant products. Additional requirements address proper food handling, temperature control during transport, and documentation of product sourcing and preparation dates to maintain compliance with Pennsylvania state and institutional food service regulations.
