About this file

This is a Bid/Contract Amount, Items and Prices schedule for METRO's Light Rail Vehicle Upper Articulation Parts procurement in Texas. The solicitation requires bidders to furnish and deliver five line items of replacement and maintenance parts for light rail vehicles, including upper pitching joints, upper articulation components, sliding ledges, anti-lifting devices, and lower articulation assemblies. The estimated annual quantities range from 16 to 34 units across the five items, with all lines within the group required to be bid. The contract is structured as a multiyear agreement covering Years 1 through 3, with total bid prices to be provided for each individual year as well as a combined three-year total.

Pricing for the contract is submitted on a unit basis with separate line item pricing required for each of the three contract years. METRO reserves the right to return unused parts within fourteen calendar days of delivery for full credit, with returns after this period subject to a restocking fee percentage to be specified by the bidder. The solicitation notes that failure to include a restocking fee will be considered a zero percent fee and will not factor into bid evaluation but may serve as a tiebreaker. For multiyear contracts, price adjustments are permitted with thirty days' notice if based on a published price list; otherwise, adjustments will be guided by the Producer Price Index. Approved manufacturers for the parts include Siemens, Hübner, Creek Lee, and CAF USA, with specific manufacturer part numbers identified for each item.
