About this file

This is a Supporting Documentation for a Request for Information (RFI) issued by a Florida county regarding the procurement of an Airport Mass Notification System from Algo Communication Products Ltd. The RFI serves as a Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Brand and is designed to determine whether the specified commodity or service is available from multiple providers or if alternative solutions exist that would satisfy the County's requirements. This is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment. The document specifies that Algo Communication products are thought to be available only as a sole brand and represent the only commodity/service meeting the County's needs due to their direct integration capabilities with Cisco Call Manager, full backwards-compatibility with the existing 800+ Algo endpoints already deployed, and support for unified native multicast architecture. Prospective vendors are invited to submit responses through the electronic bidding system, including supporting documentation to demonstrate their ability to meet or exceed the County's requirements or to contest the proposed sole brand designation. The RFI remained posted until a specified closing date and time, with the Director of Purchasing retaining sole authority to determine comparability and whether to designate as sole source/brand.

The document does not provide specific pricing terms, contract term duration, renewal options, or funding information. No set-asides are indicated or explicitly stated in this RFI documentation. The evaluation criteria focus on the technical capabilities of Algo Communication products, including deterministic failover paging, unified audio/visual synchronization, centralized device management through the Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP), and interchangeable deployment in both indoor and outdoor terminal environments. The decision regarding sole source/brand designation was stated to be non-appealable and would be communicated to all submitting vendors through the electronic bidding system.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Algo Communication – Airport Mass Notification System

A. Sole Brand or Sole Source Designation This Request for Information (RFI) Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Brand is to determine if the specified commodity or service is available from multiple providers, or if an alternate commodity or service is available that would meet the County’s needs. This is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment.

The following commodity or service is thought to be available only as a sole brand and is the only commodity/service that meets the County’s needs:

Algo Communication Products Ltd.:

• Integrates directly with Cisco Call Manager and the existing Algo VoIP/SIP infrastructure without middleware.

• Features hardware that is fully backwards-compatible and capable of direct integration with the 800+ existing Algo endpoints already deployed.

• Supports a unified native multicast architecture that maintains consistency with existing paging zones.

• Allows all deployed audio and visual endpoints to be centrally monitored, configured, upgraded, and diagnosed through the Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP).

• Allows for complete lifecycle control of all devices from a single, centralized cloud interface.

• Deploys without requiring the airport to re-engineer existing paging zones, reprogram controllers, or revise emergency workflows.

• Eliminates the need to introduce multiple separate software management tools.

• Offers unified audio/visual synchronization across mixed endpoints for high-noise environments.

• Features deterministic failover paging and strobe activation profiles that align with airport engineering specifications.

• Available in a unified, standards-based ecosystem that includes touchscreen-enabled emergency intercoms and satellite speaker technology.

• Capable of being deployed interchangeably in both indoor and outdoor terminal environments.

This RFI will remain posted until closing date and time.

Prospective Vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to provide the commodity or service described or written explanation or other documentation contesting the proposed RFI designation.

If you are capable of meeting or exceeding the County’s requirements for the specified commodity or service, respond to this RFI through the electronic bidding system. Vendor should upload any supporting information in the electronic bidding system as part of its response to assist the County in determining if commodity or service is comparable, is available from multiple suppliers, and meets the County’s needs. The Director of Purchasing shall have sole authority in deciding what is comparable.
