About this file

The University of Texas at Austin has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for Capital Planning & Construction Project Management System Software through its Procurement and Payment Services. The RFI seeks information from software companies about project management solutions for Owner's Representatives in higher education, with responses due on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00pm. System demonstrations are scheduled for December 1-5, 2025, and vendors are asked to submit responses through the UT Bonfire Portal. The university's Planning Design & Construction (PDC) department currently manages a $5B Capital Plan with approximately 700 active projects and requires new planning and project management software to effectively handle this large portfolio.

The RFI is strictly an information-gathering exercise to develop a future Request for Proposal (RFP), with no compensation provided to respondents. The University of Texas at Austin is a large public research institution supporting over 51,000 students and 14,000 faculty/staff across 18 colleges, with a 427-acre main campus containing 18 million gross square feet of buildings and eight additional extended campuses. The document explicitly states that all submitted information may be subject to public disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act, and respondents are asked to provide details about their company, software capabilities, implementation timeline, demonstration opportunities, and any additional recommendations for consideration.
