About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) seeking information about building commissioning services for a remodeling project. UTA is renovating an existing building located at 2320 South 800 West into a training facility with approximately 19,000 square feet of office, conference room, classroom, and shop space. The construction is ongoing until August 2026, and the RFI aims to gather insights about building commissioning services. Responses are due by October 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. local time, to be submitted through the Bonefire portal. This is a non-binding RFI focused on market research and information gathering, with no commitment to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP).
The RFI seeks detailed information about building commissioning services, including the typical role of such services, time commitments, on-site requirements, team composition, and cost ranges. UTA has never previously contracted with a building commissioning service and is exploring the potential benefits and value of incorporating such services into their projects. The agency encourages respondents to provide general cost estimates and standard pricing history, but explicitly warns against submitting detailed, customized pricing documentation. All submitted responses will be considered public records under the State of Utah Records Access Management Act, and UTA reserves the right to communicate with or interview respondents for additional clarification or market research purposes.
